David, severe anxiety and panic attacks
'After being the subject of a traumatic experience 6 years ago I found
myself struggling to cope with day to day life. A number of my routine tasks became
very difficult to deal with and I found myself wanting to be sick or run away from
everyday type activities.
The kind of things I had for many years took for granted
like going shopping, being in groups or crowded places, gong to friends weddings or
the cinema, or even talking to people on a one to one basis (friends as well as
strangers) gave me this feeling of wanting to be sick or wanting to leave the room
or area.
I struggled for months if not years at first to understand what was
happening to me before finding out I had severe anxiety which sometimes led to full
blown panic attacks. I tried many different techniques to resolve the issue from
talking therapies to relaxation techniques and REM (rapid eye movement), most of
which helped in lesser or larger degrees but none completely solved the condition. I
started to believe after years of then battling with depression that this was
something I would have to live with for the rest of my life and that I would never
be the confident, outgoing, easy going person that I once was.
After a kick up the
behind from a close friend I decided to give another attempt to relieving my
symptoms which is when I found Christina.
I was sceptical to say the least about
hypnotherapy but after 6 years of struggling with life was more than prepared to
disregard any fears and give it a try. After my initial appointment we agreed on
hypnotherapy as a good course of action and I felt comfortable and relaxed in
Christina's presence and with what she was describing.
I felt better after my first
session, not cured, but better and looking forward to my next one. After my second
session (which like my first did involve some crying) on opening my eyes instantly
felt like a new person and aware of a shift. I skipped out of Christina's building
with a new found confidence.
It wasn't though until I found myself in situations
which previously had filled me with dread that I became aware that I wasn't
experiencing any of my usual anxiety related symptoms. I couldn't believe it!! And
as the week progressed more and more of these scenario's would crop up and I was
fine, completely fine, better then fine in fact I felt totally relaxed and could
have stayed wherever I was for as long as possible (and no feelings of wanting to be
sick).
I couldn't believe that after only two sessions I was back, the old me was
back!
I can't thank Christina enough for helping me to achieve this. I no longer
have to say NO to all those activities and engagements that would fill me with dread
or feel the need to drink or pop a pill (valium) to get through it. If you are
reading this and thinking should I give it a go my advice would be YES YES YES!!
Obviously we are all individuals and what works for the goose may not for the gander
but all I can tell you is this if I hadn't then I wouldn't be living my life right
now I would be simply existing, struggling to get through each and every day and
fearing the next. Everyday I will be thankful I walked through those Mindquest doors
and for this I'd like to say to Christina A MILLION THANK YOU'S!!!!! It was a
pleasure meeting you and I will be forever in your debt!!!!'
Susan, sleep disorders
Hi Christina,
Thank you so much!
I found the session really helpful - I felt so much more relaxed and less worried
about sleeping afterwards. I haven't needed to use the EFT process yet as I haven't
had any trouble sleeping! But it's good to have it ready if I do get worried.
Jodie, public speaking
Dear Christina
I did it, I did it, I did it!
The reading went really well and I want to thank you for giving me the
help and support I needed to get me through what was for me a nerve
racking experience. I even got compliments on my delivery so all that
rehearsing in the shower paid off. My "routine" went unnoticed but it
gave me confidence and a feeling of familiarity, as did my "three
friends" sitting around me.
With many thanks
